It is also the coach collection point for transport to the start of the race for 50 mile and 21 mile races. Coach transport is an optional extra for who do not have a lift to the start. As the Black Beacon 50 mile, 50k and 21 mile routes are linear, you will need to either get dropped off at the start or park your car at the finish and catch one of the buses provided to the start of the event.  We hope to facilitate easy logistics, so please read the following carefully and select the most appropriate options for you. The bus will leave at the following times:    0545 (Saturday) for the Black Beacon 50 mile from Hay-on-Wye 0645 (Saturday) for the Black Beacon 50k race from Llangynidir 0915 (Saturday) for the Black Beacon 21 mile race from Hay-on-Wye If you want to use coach transport you will need to select this option when you sign up. Drop bags will be provided at registration and collected at the start of your race.  Pictures of the bags are shown below.  If you have already done a Run Walk Crawl Race and have one of these, you can do your bit for the environment and reuse the bag - just make sure your new race number is clearly marked on the bag. Drop bag example with size 9 HOKA challengers as a guide. 100 mile runners have 2 drop bags available at 3 points in the race.  These are: Drop bag A - Llangynidir Village Hall CP 3 (way out) & CP 11 (way back) Drop bag B - Pontneddfechan Village Hall CP 7 (halfway) 50 mile runners have 1 drop bag available at: Llangynidir Village Hall CP 4 All drop bags will be returned to Hay on Wye once the checkpoint at Llangynidir closes. Where possible, we may be able to return early finisher bags sooner, or you may be able to collect them from Llangynidir when you finish. Please ensure you ring ahead to the race directors to ensure your bag is not in transition.  Please make sure you take yours with you after the race as postage for retuning drop bags can be expensive and is payable by the participant.
